Aircraft Services Group Specifies PumaCRETE® for New $25M Hangar Complex at Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport

Press Release

– PumaCRETE® is pleased to announce that its high-performance aircraft hangar floor coating system has been specified for the new corporate headquarters hangar complex of Aircraft Services Group (ASG) at Florida's Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ). The PumaCRETE® system was specified during the 2025 project design phase and is being installed in 2026 by factory-certified PumaCRETE® installer E P Floors Corp.

Project Overview

Aircraft Services Group — a family-run private aviation company founded in 1989 and currently headquartered in Teterboro, New Jersey — broke ground on its new $25 million corporate headquarters at KSRQ on April 15, 2025. The two-phase project will relocate ASG's headquarters from Teterboro to Sarasota and serve as the company's first dedicated, owned facility.

  • Phase 1: 30,000-sq-ft hangar capable of sheltering ultra-long-range jets, fuel farm, terminal building, offices, and customer lounge.
  • Phase 2: Additional 30,000-sq-ft hangar.
  • Aircraft accommodated: Ultra-long-range business jets and heavy jets from ASG's 26-aircraft fleet, including Dassault Falcon 2000, Embraer Legacy 600, Embraer Phenom 300, Bombardier Challenger 300, and Cessna Citation CJ4.

"The groundbreaking ceremony marks an exciting new chapter for our company, and for the Sarasota-Bradenton region," said ASG CEO Peter Cuomo at the April 2025 groundbreaking. "Our new headquarters at [KSRQ] will increase our ability to offer world-class aviation services and will also create high-quality job opportunities in this thriving area."

Why PumaCRETE® Was Specified for the ASG Hangar:

  • Skydrol® and Hydraulic Fluid Resistance: The PumaCRETE® topcoat chemistry resists Skydrol® phosphate ester hydraulic fluid, MIL-PRF-83282, and MIL-PRF-87257 — the fluids that destroy ordinary epoxy hangar floors within months.
  • Jet Fuel and Chemical Resistance: Resists Jet-A, JP-5, JP-8, motor oils, de-icing chemistry, and the cleaning agents used in aircraft maintenance, preventing concrete contamination and ground seepage.
  • Heavy Aircraft Load Capacity: Engineered for the concentrated point loads of aircraft landing gear, ground support equipment, and tug traffic without cracking or delaminating.
  • Moisture Vapor Tolerance: Tolerates up to 25 lbs of vapor pressure through the slab — five times the tolerance of competing systems — critical for coastal Florida concrete in a humid subtropical climate.
  • UV Stability: The aliphatic urethane topcoat will not yellow, chalk, or dull when exposed to sunlight through open hangar doors. Maintains high-gloss, light-reflective appearance for the life of the system.
  • Light Reflectivity: High-reflectance topcoat amplifies hangar lighting, improving visibility for ground crews during aircraft maintenance and FOD inspection.
  • Non-Skid Texture: Permanent integral aggregate in working zones provides slip resistance for crew safety, with traction maintained through the full thickness of the floor — not a sacrificial surface broadcast.
  • Seamless, Easy-Clean Finish: Non-porous, monolithic surface with no grout lines or joints to trap contaminants, supporting the customer-facing appearance standards required at a high-end FBO facility.
