New York Is in the Middle of a Manufacturing Renaissance
New York is hosting the largest semiconductor build-out in U.S. history. Micron's $100 billion investment in Clay (Mohawk Valley), GlobalFoundries' $11.6 billion Saratoga expansion, the Albany Nanotech Complex anchoring the National Semiconductor Technology Center, and Wolfspeed's silicon carbide facility in the Mohawk Valley are all under construction or scaling up. Layer on Long Island defense (Northrop Grumman in Bethpage, L3Harris, Telephonics), Rochester photonics (AIM Photonics, AMD design centers, Sydor Optics, Corning), Westchester pharma (Regeneron, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb), and the NYC data center cluster — and New York becomes one of the largest single-state opportunities for industrial ESD flooring in the country.
Per the EOS/ESD Association standard ANSI/ESD S20.20, an ESD floor must achieve surface resistance below 1.0×10&sup9; ohms, system resistance below 3.5×10&sup7; ohms, and walking body voltage below 100 volts. PumaCRETE dissipative systems consistently achieve body voltage below 15 volts with conductive footwear — well beneith the regulatory ceiling. For NY defense and AA&E facilities, our conductive (C) versions and the PumaESD 400 urethane cement system meet DoD 4145.26-m for munitions, propellants, and flammable-solvent environments.
Whether you are building out a semiconductor fab in Saratoga, integrating avionics at Northrop Grumman in Bethpage, packaging biologics at Regeneron in Tarrytown, manufacturing photonic chips at AIM Photonics in Rochester, or operating a data center in NYC, PumaCRETE manufactures the right ESD or conductive system. Learn more about ANSI/ESD S20.20 from the EOS/ESD Association.

What makes PumaCRETE different for New York ESD projects?
PumaCRETE offers three buying options (turnkey, materials-only, or factory training) — most manufacturers only sell turnkey. We have a four-tier product lineup that scales from thin film for clean dry rooms up to urethane cement for AA&E munitions and DoD 4145.26-m compliance. NY turnkey installations are coordinated through a certified installer partner network — including EP Floors Corp. for the Capital Region — with PumaCRETE acting as single-source manufacturer and program manager.
How long does ESD flooring installation take in New York?
Most New York ESD projects complete in a weekend or scheduled shutdown. Typical timeline for a 20,000 sq ft facility: Friday surface prep, Saturday system installation, Sunday cure and resistance testing, full return to service Monday. Larger NY facilities — including semiconductor fab construction — are completed in phased zones to maintain critical operations.
