AGV Flooring for Automated Guided Vehicles

High Performance Resinous Flooring

The needs for AGV and AMR floor surfaces are numerous. These areas need a flat, level surface, that is not too slick, bumpy, too shiny or soft. Surfaces may need to be anti static, or dangerous accumulated charges could damage to sensitive electronic components. In order to manuever AGV and AMR vehicles/equipment, it requires lasers, magnets, sensors (RF or optical), or cameras. Predetermined pathways are designated with visual markers and GPS systems, or by means of magnet tape or embedded wire in the floor.  Any of these conditions could cause slowdowns, stoppage, accidents or repairs.

PumaCRETE Corp. now has a solution to all of these challenges!
AGV Flooring Surfaces

SOLUTIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING ISSUES:

Common issues that may be challenges for this equipment includes flooring that is:

  1. TOO BUMPY:  Uneven, bumpy surfaces risk damaging the AGVs and AMRs. PumaCRETE flooring fixes cracks, joints, holes, damaged and spalled and rough concrete. These conditions speed up the wear and tear on wheels and components, increasing maintenance costs and downtime.   .
  2. TOO SLICK
If the flooring is too slick, the vehicles may not have the traction required to move efficiently. They require a bit of surface texture (proper coefficient of friction) to ensure the wheels have enough traction to help the robot stay on course and move at designated speeds.  301-AGV PumaESD resurfacer provides a non slip surface with COF (coefficient of friction)  >.6
  3. TOO SHINY
The gloss or sheen of your AGV/AMR flooring can causes issues. A too shiny surface will reflect more light and may confuse laser-guided navigation. Going with a matte finish can save you extra costs down the road.
301-AGV PumaESD resurfacer has a semi gloss finish.
  4. TOO SOFT
    301-AGV PumaESD
flooring is a hard, abrasion resistant, composite flooring. It is not soft like VCT, rubber and sheet goods.

Advantages of PumaCRETE's High Performance AGV Flooring and AMR Flooring Systems

  • CONDUCTIVITY- Systems available to comply with ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1                                                                                                                              Systems are available in either d (dissipative  10e5-10e9 ohms)  or c (conductive:  25,000-1M ohms) resistance ranges.
Contact us for for information on custom resistance requirements.
  • DURABILITY
All of our systems provide a highly durable and abrasion resistant surface, for polyurethane AGV and AMR wheels.
  • SMOOTH CONSISTENT SURFACE
The floor surface must allow the vehicle to move freely and safely.
